Personal
I am a mother of four grown children, living with my husband on a 50-acre ranch in the mountains of Colorado. After years in the city, we moved to the tranquility of the mountains to embrace fresh air and reconnect with nature. For over 27 years, I have owned an interior design firm and have been a full-time college professor. I hold a master’s degree in interior architecture and a doctorate in psychology. As an author, I have written several books and am currently working on an academic book focused on trauma-informed design. My research centers on biophilia and the human experience.
With my background in teaching, psychology, and research, I am passionate about connecting with others—sharing my knowledge while also guiding them toward a more fulfilling, productive, and abundant life. I believe that we can transform our lives by understanding our connection to nature and harnessing our energies. Whether through shaping our environments to support our health and well-being or fostering a deeper awareness of our surroundings, we have the power to create positive change in our minds, bodies, and relationships.
