After being divorced for 17 1/2 years and raising two beautiful daughters as a single parent embarking on the journey of love felt like navigating a winding road with unexpected potholes. On numerous occasions I was told by well-meaning, sympathetic friends or family members to Get out ‘There’ but where is there? A group of friends and I were discussing this subject when one of my friends responded, Tell me where ‘There’ is and I’ll buy a ticket. I’ll catch a plane. I’ll even walk there and arrive early. We all laughed but each one of us got her point. We felt her frustration. We understood her pain. In the process of ‘Finding There’ I discovered ‘There’ is not a place. It is a journey. Today, I am happily married to my best friend and the love of my life for 14 years. We met at a speed dating event ten years ago and we’re excited to be on our life long honeymoon adventure!
