I have been a Registered Nurse for 33 years. In 2006, I began studying a Master's-level program in Health Promotion, as I intuitively began to sense the downward spiral in our population's health. A decade later, when I was really becoming fed up with the "Illness Care Model" of medicine, I began an even deeper dive by dipping my toes into Functional Medicine, gaining a basic understanding of how we got to where we are. I realized the only way to "fix" it will be to completely overhaul health care into a "preventive care and health maintenance" model, which is finally now becoming a widespread movement, with Functional Medicine practitioners and Health Coaches at the forefront. Unfortunately, the damage is already done and it will take generations to fix what is broken. I began my official journey as a Life and Health Coach in 2016 and absolutely LOVE what I do!
