Anna Hui

The Founder of The Avid Reader Club, Anna or Huma (胡媽), has been blogging since 2014, documenting her thoughts about the fun but sometimes tough journey of raising her 2 kids Ali and Mei Mei. A booklover herself, Anna has made cultivating a good habit of reading for her kids a personal crusade – having devoted years of research to learning the art and skills of reading, she has been reading-aloud to her kids for more than 10 years on a daily basis. Realising how much benefits a child can get from reading – cognitively and ethically; and how unhealthy nowadays the academic competition has led to stressful, unhappy kids & parents, Anna decided to found The Avid Reading Club, hoping to prove that learning can be an enjoyable process. Her most shiny accolade for her strong belief in reading is her own children, who are both scholarships students in an international IB school. Not to mention her other students who all have achieved huge improvement in their academic studies and their love of reading. Anna graduated from The University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law (HKU LLB), pursued her career in banking and worked in a leading global financial institution as Vice President and Department Head of business and commerce development for over 10 years. Apart from her career in children's optimal learning. Anna is also family life coach and has been helping tens of families in youth confidence coaching and family relationship. Now a certified hypnotherapist trained by renowned expert Paul McKenna, Anna devotes herself to empowering children for peak performance, eliminating bad habits, and boosting self-confidence; provides rapid and effective solutions to young individuals to unlock their full potential. Her other interests include golf, photography, travel, writing, movie, yoga and cooking.
